Accommodation FAQ's

General information about our accommodation and facilities.

Q: What time is check-in and check-out?

Check in time is 14:00                                                Check out time  is  10:00

Q: Can I have a late check-out?

We may be able to accommodate this request however if the apartment is required for new arriving guest this may not be possible. Late check-out fees do apply.

Q: Do you require a security bond upon check-in?

All guests are required to pay a security bond of $100.00 per person. This can be by cash deposit or debit card both of these methods of payment will require an inspection on the apartment prior to departure.

Credit cards are the preferred method accepted.

Q: Is there Internet or WiFi access available?

WiFi is available  – surcharge applies. (Provided by Freedom Internet)

Q: Is the swimming pool heated?

Yes, we have a heated pool all year round.

Q: What facilities do you have?

Situated in a sub-tropical garden the barbecue is located by the pool area with large shaded tables to relax and enjoy the tranquil setting.

Q: Is after hours check-in available?

Yes, notify reception for instructions.

Q: Is there car parking available?

Under cover parking is available.

Q: How often are the apartments serviced?

All apartments are fully self-contained however after 7 days the apartments will be serviced.

Q: Is all linen provided?

Linen is provided.

Q: What is your Cancellation Policy?

All cancellation must be notified in writing for whatever reason 30 days or more prior to arrival, an adminstration fee will be charged. No refund for any cancellation less than 30 days. In case of "NO SHOW" or "EARLY DEPATURE", there will be no refund.

SHORT NOTICE BOOKING

Any booking made less than 14 days prior to the arrival date, there will be no refund unless and until the premises can re-let for the total period of the original booking. An adminstration fee of $50 per apartment will be deducted from deposit held before the remainder is refunded.

HIGH SEASON BOOKING

Any booking cancelled 30 days or more prior to the date of arrival, there will be a full refund less an adminstration fee of $200 per apartment. If the booking is cancelled less than 30 prior to the date of arrival, there will be no refunded and amendments. 

Q: Do Chevron Palms take Schoolies Bookings?

Schoolies Policy - Unfortunately we do not have the policies, procedures or resources to accommodate the unique needs of the school leavers during the annual "Schoolies Festival". In particular, we do not have the adequate resources to engage qualified security personnel to guarantee the safety, comfort and convenience of our guests during this period. For this reason, we reserve the right to reject bookings from school and/or university leavers for the period mid November to early December." Please note age limit applies, contact reception for more information. 

Q: What if I want to shorten my stay?

If you wish to leave before the end of your stay, please email us at [email protected] and indicate your room number so that your request can be taken into account. 

Please note no refunds are available should you decide to shorten your stay after arrival.  Insurance cover for your travel and accomodation is always something to consider seriously for any forseen circumstance.

Q: Are there shops or restaurants nearby?

Yes within five minutes walk to Chevron Island Shopping Village on Thomas Drive.

Q: How far is Chevron Palms from Surfers Paradise?

Approximately 10 - 12  minutes walk across Chevron Island Bridge into Surfers Paradise.

Q: Is there public transport nearby?

Within five minutes walking.

Q: Can I book theme park tickets or tours at reception?

Reception will assist you with all tour and attraction bookings.

Q: Where can I buy groceries locally?

The closest supermarket, Coles is located under the Chevron Renasissance on the corner of Elkhore AVenue and Ferny Ave just over the Chevron Island bridge.  2 Hours free car parking is available under the bilding if you spend $10 or more.

Q: Is the resort close to the Race course?

Yes very close, 5 minute by taxi or 30 minutes walk on a nice day.

Q: How close is the resort to the Arts Centre?

5 Minutes by Taxi or 15 minutes to walk .

Q: Is there doctor close by?

5 minutes walk to Chevron Island Shopping Village has a clinic however booking is required. For after hour bulk billed doctor service, please click on this link House Call Doctor or call 135566. Please let them know your room number when booking.

Services are Bulk Billed and operating hours are:

  • Monday – Friday 6pm – 8am; Saturday 12pm onward;
  • Sunday and public holidays 24 hours.
